For standard 100 megabit UTP you can use the bulk stuff and it's great. Shielded is uncalled for as the physics of the twist is why you don't need shielded. If your installer is telling you need to use shielded they are likely lining their pockets and you need to send them on their way. If by any chance you plan to include devices such as security cameras using POE, pay attention to the gauge and composition of the wire. You want solid copper and a heavier gauge wire. Avoid anything that says 26 gauge with 22-23 being preferred. Good luck with your project.
