I have access to the commercial pay per usage wifi network for one account. They offered CPE for rent to create home wifi network using my account. In my case, I don't want to rent from the company but to buy a similar router myself. Can you please advise on buying and setting up one?
Wireless ISPs (WISPs) don't use off the shelf routers to build their receivers. The ones I know of have an external antenna to their own box with their radio then off to either the owner's router or now more common a ready to use all-in-one box with router, WiFi and Ethernet ports.
